~ Welcome to the new and official U.C.E.T. Website ~

U.C.E.T. was formed 2003 by a few experienced Cavers who wanted to push the boundaries just a little further.

Covering North Wales and the Northwest of England, we're lucky enough to have enough easy "training" grounds, and a few trickier ones, to keep everyone happy. As a activity, Caving keeps you fit, involves a fair bit of walking, being elbows and knees deep in mud and water. But, it's not all just fun like that! There's also the team spirit, determination and focus to pull each other through as and when necessary.

Another necessity in U.C.E.T. is to learn (if you don't already know it), understand and enjoy SRT (Single Rope Technique). This allows you easier access to further parts of systems. To ensure this is done safely, all new recruits are run through some simple tests and training as a safe Caver will not only look after their own life, but also, everyone else's.

This is a new site, so if you've something of interest, let us know by emailing! And we're out every Thursday night (so keep coming back for regular updates!) on a dig or a local trip and meet in the Glan afterwards, see our Links Page for more details.
