Location
SJ1937971212 gets you close enough to see the entrance

Directions
Pass the school in Rhes Y Cae on your left then park in layby on right (under line of telegraph poles holding 3 wires) Follow the path that leads away from the layby until you see this mine shaft with a grill over the top.

Then you will see a wide ditch heading North. Follow this until you find yourself climbing over a spoil heap. At the top of the heap there is a path heading South and one heading East (directly up) take this path and follow your GPS. It's worth mentioning that this area is like a Swiss cheese, littered with mine shafts. Some obvious and some not. There are a lot of capped shafts that have sunk significantly since my last visit so please take care.

It is indeed. A little known local cave / mine. It's one to do on the way to the pub rather than a dedicated trip. It takes about 50 seconds to explore :P

So it’s not the one that was collapsed in. How recent have you been?

3-4 years ago. It's also accessible (with a little bit of digging) via a mine shaft less than 5 metres from the entrance on the photos above.

One of the shafts in the area fell in and has been capped. I suspect this is one.
